I can’t say enough good things about this place. We’ve lived in several states since adopting my boy and he’s never loved a place like he loves Barx Parx. My Leo is a sensitive boy who spent 2 years on a chain and cycled through 8 homes before landing with us, so I always do tons of homework on who he’s boarding with. In this case, I personally visited literally 5 other kennels in the area before we found Barx Parx.
The staff are incredible. Aurora did his behavioral intake and was so thorough and had an immediate good rapport with him. (He’s a german shepherd mix so he can be shy at first!) I honestly love that they do a behavioral evaluation on every single dog so I know this isn’t some dangerous free-for-all like a public dog park. Also, for the first time he boarded overnight, Aurora wrote out all his specific needs/commands he knows/tips and tricks on a piece of paper that the entire staff could see. Stef has also developed a particularly wonderful relationship with him and I can tell by the photos (the position of his ears and tail!) that he knows he can trust her. I wish I could list all the staff by name because they collectively do an awesome job.
One of my favorite features (besides the amazing staff) is that they have cameras so I can check in on Leo as often as I want. Every time I do so, he just looks great; safe, happy, and engaged. Sometimes all the other dogs are running around him and he’s just calmly laying in his favorite spot, looking completely relaxed, not even panting. It’s kind of amazing to see. Also, it’s so cute to watch him sleep in a big dog pack at night. He doesn’t do well in locked kennels so this open sleeping situation has been a really nice change for him.
I am just very, very grateful we found Barx Parx. I am so thankful they have such a great, educated, dog-adoring staff. Leo has made so many unexpected new friends. He gets to be his sweet, goofy self in a safe environment, without the stress of a locked kennel. Highly recommend this place!! – 6/15/2026

I now have a 3rd Pug named Howard who had some biting issues when you touched his paws. After going through training with Steph Gonzalez he’s a Totally different dog. He is now able to do the Paw Crafts and has also stopped going Cujo on me when it’s time to leave (the Touch command works Perfectly). We still battle putting a shirt on him but it’s one step at a time. I HIGHLY Recommend Steph as a Trainer as she worked Wonders with him. There is also a package that you buy 4 Sessions and get the 5th Free.. take advantage of that!!
My 2 Pugs, Amy and Leonard, absolutely 💯 LOVE ❤️ going here. The Staff also LOVES seeing them and they come home thoroughly exhausted from playing all day. There are Webcams in place where you can check on your dogs. Also, you can have your pup do a Treadmill session which both of mine enjoy. There are Holiday Pawtrit days (which are an Extra charge, but totally worth it) plus Jenn (the Owner) also organizes Special Treat Days for the pups (Watermelon, Pup Cups, etc.) along with Craft Days and Events to celebrate Holidays. They are also 24-7 and if you board your dog, a Ranger sleeps with them. There are also No Crates, which was a HUGE reason I choose to take my Pugs there. – 4/16/2026

We took our boy Yogy for boarding over the holiday. He was not able to stay 24 hrs because he was just too stressed but this was not due to Barx Parx. They reached out to me within a couple of hrs after drop off and explained what was happening. They were willing to still work w/him and keep him overnight but I chose to have my sister pick him up instead. They were really caring and their number one priority was Yogy’s well being. The fact that I can watch him through the cameras is a huge plus but I wouldn’t have known how bad his stress level was if it wasn’t for the team’s attentiveness. I really appreciate the team for attempting to work with my baby. I would 100% recommend Barx Parx! – 11/29/2025

The dog trainer Stephy Gonzalez is top tier! She is one of the few certified trainers in LV and that shows through her skills and dedication. We recently rescued a puppy and knew she would need some training and support. Thankfully we found Stephy because it changed everything for us. Our dog is even doing better with our elderly cat since completing the training academy 1. We can’t wait to enroll in academy 2 and even plan on enrolling our older pup to help strengthen his training and skills. So appreciative of Stephy – 10/18/2025

Love that the team has process in place to ensure pets are comfortable and safe.
Unfortunately, I left my pup here and she just circled the pen the entire time. She was so anxious she escaped at one point and they had to reign her back in. I wasn’t told about any of this – I just happened to see it all on camera. Since she wasn’t having a good time for the short 2 hours we left her we brought her back home and cancelled our membership. Sadly still looking for a place our girl can be comfortable and happy. – 10/15/2025

Stephanie, our dog trainer has helped us tremendously with our 1 1/2 year old Cane Corso, Soraya.
We sent Soraya to a 6 week training camp in Utah. When she returned, we discovered she still needed a lot of work which was challenging for us. After doing some reading, we decided to use a prong color as it was advised by many owners of Mastiiffs. We felt bad about having to use one, but were desperate and in love with Soraya. While it seemed she responded to the collar regarding not pulling, her other puppy habits did not improve. We met Stephanie through Barx Parx. She was against prong collars except in special cases and told us why. We immediately ceased using the prong collar and were surprised when Soraya began pulling again. She had learned absolutely nothing. She only responded to the collar because it was uncomfortable and likely painful. We felt horrible. Stephanie quickly took over training not only Soraya but us. It was definitely a great match! Stephanie is gentle, but firm, and she has a wealth of knowledge and experience. Her communication skills are excellent, and Soraya immediately responded to her. She taught us how to train Soraya with high praise, high reward treats and lots of love. Soraya quickly responded to the training. Positive reinforcement was the key; not a prong collar nor an E Collar which we also had tried. Soraya no longer pulls, sits and stays until commanded to do so. Further, Soraya does not eat her food until given permission and understands “down” for lay down. She also sits and stays at bottom or top of stairs until we signal her to come. These are just some of the examples. This training experience relieved us of so much anxiety and stress. We just wanted to love and enjoy Soraya and now we do as Stephanie has instilled confidence in us all. Thank you, Stephanie for sharing with us your magic and yourself with us. – 9/17/2025
