Mobile, AL, August 21, 2026 — Barx Parx, the premier indoor dog park, daycare, and 24/7 boarding facility, is expanding to Mobile, Alabama, with a new location opening at 3932 Cottage Hill Rd. Founded in 2018, Barx Parx has welcomed thousands of dogs at its original location and is now bringing its indoor dog park and bar concept to the Gulf Coast for the first time.

Unlike traditional kennels and daycares in the region, Barx Parx is built around positive reinforcement and stress-free socialization, with no fear-based training or handling methods. The Mobile location will offer indoor dog park access, daycare, and overnight boarding with true 24/7/365 on-site staffing. All dogs must be current on vaccines, spayed or neutered, and pass a behavior assessment before joining group play. While Mobile County does not mandate a staff-to-dog ratio, Barx Parx maintains an industry-recommended ratio of 15 dogs to every trained Park Ranger.
The space also doubles as a community hub, with TVs, music, craft beer, wine, and regular events for pet parents to meet one another. “It’s not just dog care, it’s a hangout,” Jonathan said. “A third space where pet parents in Mobile can actually build a community around their shared love of dogs all while enjoying a beverage.”
